В оконцове мы имеем: - OS Linux Debian 8 Jessie - 1 CPU с 1 ядром (для активации восьми вспомогательных («синергических») процессорных элементов (SPE — Synergistic Processor Element) нужен патч, который никто явно не сделает..) - ОЗУ - 226Mb - GPU работает, но даже эмуль Nestopia жутко лагает.. - Все репы в архиве Все же поражает, как инженеры Sony смогли из такого железа сделать конфетку..

I bought 2 broken YLOD PS3s to see if I can fix them? Another PS3 restoration, this second YLoD repair on the channel. This particular unit is a CECHE01 model, YLOD needs no introduction. The console doesn’t turn on and presents a yellow light followed by 3 beeps and a flashing red light i.e. the "Yellow Light of Death" or simply abbreviated YLoD. PS3 YLOD Fixed with an Original Nec/Tokin Capacitor On the PlayStation 3, the NEC/TOKIN capacitors are prone to failure, causing a Yellow Light if Death error. PlayStation Repair Retro The yellow light of death (YLoD) that indicates general breakdowns and issues on the PS3 Fat is infamous. ... This problem is generally caused by the PS3 overheating internally and melting the solder Overheating is usually the culprit of motherboard failure, especially if has not been kept in a properly ventilated environment. The result? Cracked or melted solder joints between the motherboard and processors. Follow these steps to revive your PS3. Heat the chips for 20-30 seconds each with a heat gun on low power, or a hair dryer for around 1 minute. This video shows you everything you need to know about taking apart your Playstation3 Fat. Playstation 3 Yellow Light of Death (PS3 YLOD) The PS3 YLOD (or yellow light of death) is when your beloved console shines or blinks a yellow light on its front end, indicating that something serious is wrong. There are two lights that sit beside each other, but the one closest to the edge is the one we're talking about. When you see the yellow light (which may also flash red), you know something is wrong. Your experience of the YLOD normally comes during intense gameplay when the whole console just freezes up, the game crashes, and you can do nothing to remedy the problem. Along with the console freeze, your Playstation 3 gives an audible alert that something is terribly wrong by giving a few short beeps. You can fix the problem yourself using a phillips head screwdriver, a lint-free cloth, thermal paste, rubbing alcohol, and a heat gun capable of heating to 177ºC (350ºF). You could have the console working again in as fast as an hour. For step-by-step instructions, watch the video. Place the ps3 motherboard on a flat heat resistive surface (kitchen worktop or melamine shelf will be fine). Turn the heat gun on and set the temperature to 350 deg and the fan speed to low (to high and it will move the surface mount bits). Allow gun to get up to temperature before continuing!!!! Using a circular motion hold heat gun over areas outlined below (keep heat gun an inch above board/components at all times). Dying Light 2 Care Package Unboxing [Ultra Rare] CPU side first. After 15 to 20 seconds move on to the next area. Once all marked areas have been heated/reflowed on the motherboard LEAVE for at least 10 to 15 minutes to cool. The method used here has been done before by many others and is also part of an ifixit guide. I do not claim this to be the best or most robust method of resolving the YLOD problem. All I can say is that it worked and the unit is still going strong almost 2 months later. The more advanced method of full BGA reball on the CPU/GPU is beyond what anyone can reasonably expect from an average person (including myself) due to the specialized equipment involved. Capacitor replacement is more reasonable, but I cannot confidently sayand frankly no one else here canwhether the cap's or the CPU/GPU (or other) was the problem causing YLOD. This is evidenced by the conflicting comments adamantly declaring what the issue was and how the repair should have been handled. I'm just a guy who wanted his PS3 to work. If you can do it better I encourage you to follow through. The PS3 is a great system where many of us draw fond memories. Let's keep alive as many as we can! In 2010 the United States Air Force Research Laboratory built the Condor Cluster, a supercomputer utilizing the power of 1,760 PlayStation 3 consoles clustered through Linux installed via Other OS. The purpose of this cluster was to be used "for tasks such as radar enhancement, pattern recognition, satellite imagery processing, and artificial intelligence research" according to an article cited further down in the description from Phys.org. The reason for choosing to use PS3 consoles to build a supercomputer cluster was due to cost saving measures, each PS3 cost $400 at the time as opposed to the estimated $10,000 per unit of another comparable piece of hardware. Years later as this cluster was spun down, the PS3 consoles were taken out of inventory, separated from their hard drives, and sold at government surplus sales. The two consoles shown in this video were listed for sale on eBay and were roughly described as consoles coming from the Air Force which had previously run Linux. A little bit of research showed these were indeed a part of the Condor Cluster! THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL. In September of 2020, I attempted to fix my second Yellow Light Of Death PS3. PS3 #2 has been the longest running repair I've attempted. This video summarizes both my successes and mistakes over the two year period I spent on this console. As such, it's jam packed. The latter half especially. This video is best viewed after watching PS3 #1: Tantalum Terror. I'd been lured in by the NEC/TOKIN hysteria and in the first half of this video I show how the misinformation continued my descent into the mire, and how I finally came to realize it wasn't "the fix." I am trying to avoid splitting these repair logs into parts. 1 Video per console is the goal. So for the sake of time, I move quickly and don't explain every detail. This video contains very technical sections that may go over the viewers head. Instead of treating you like a baby, my approach is to lay it out in plain English as best as I can. Hopefully it makes sense, but if not, please understand that there was simply too much information to cover things I've already explained, or intend to explain, in another video. I am telling the story of how I got into PS3 repair. I'm doing so in chronological order of the events. This repair attempt spanned the entire time I've worked on PS3's. If it seems like I'm jumping forward in time and there was a lot that happened in between, that's be I am and there was. Please remember that when I started work on this console, we didn't have the same knowledge and tools available to diagnose the Yellow Light Of Death (YLOD) we do now. So you will see me struggle, make mistakes, contribute to the misinformation, etc. I am airing dirty laundry and fully aware it stinks. But I think it's important to show you what not to do. Немного обновил Linux PS4 - Fedora 32 Tron Edition: - Full Update System - Самый свежий Wine Staging 6.4 - Установлено корректное значение потоков ( Ulimit -Hn) для Esync.. - Обновлен DXVK (1.8.1) - Добавлен VKD3D-Proton (2.2) - Установлены 2-е репы для обновления Mesa-Git и Mesa (stable) Что бы проверить обновление и обновить вводим команду: $ sudo dnf update refresh repo ps4 Используйте 2-а тире.. Что бы откатить на Mesa (stable): $ sudo dnf install mesa-dri-drivers-20.3.4-2.fc32.i686 mesa-libEGL-20.3.4-2.fc32.i686 mesa-libGL-20.3.4-2.fc32.i686 mesa-libd3d-20.3.4-2.fc32.i686 mesa-libgbm-20.3.4-2.fc32.i686 mesa-vulkan-drivers-20.3.4-2.fc32.i686 repo ps4_ Так же вписываем 2-а тире.. - добавлен терминал в стиле Tron: eDEX-UI Свежие версии можно брать тут: 🤍 - обновлены RPCS3 (эмулятор PS3) и Redream (эмулятор Dreamcast) в папке Загрузки.. И самое главное, я поменял обоину на рабочем столе.. Linux PS4 - Fedora 32 Tron Edition with little update берем тут: - 🤍 Установка аналогична psxitarch, только не забываем переименовать архив.. Напоминаю, что для Fat PS4 есть мое ядро kernel-5.3.13-xanmod9 (with Fsync).. Как обычно затестил пару игрух, которые есть на PS3, но нет на PS4: - Metal Gear Rising Revengeance - Grid 2 (так же пару бесплатных ключей для Steam + дополнения) - Wolfenstein и Monster Jam Steel Titans 2 ..
