God gifted you young man! 🙏
Imagine if they used disco tracks, which is what some at the studio wanted.

It's going to be a tragedy when John Williams passes away. His music has become a part of the dearest memories of so many Americans.
I fell in love with Williams' music starting with the 'Jaws' theme, then Star Wars, then Superman, then Indiana Jones, then ET, then Jurassic Park... the list would grow long !
I was 12 years old in 1977 when Star Wars premiered. To this day I will never forget the impact it had on me. My father God rest his soul who was born in 1933 was old school and very critical of movies. He was with me that day and after seeing this movie he was literally speechless!! I will cherish that memory as long as I live. Thank you George Lucas for this absolute incredible saga you have made!!
91 years old this year and he still nails it! I want to also congratulate everyone who did that performance. I feel like they haven’t gotten much appreciation but then again, they don’t care. They’re just having the time of their lives being composed by the Legend himself! I’m really sad that he’s retiring as composer this year after Indiana Jones 5. Same with Indy 5 being Harrison Ford’s last movie as an actor. Hope they are enjoy their retirements!
John Williams has always had the insight to move your soul on every score he has composed. Ever since I saw Star Wars for the first time and heard his score I have been a John Williams fan ever since. This score still gives me goosebumps. Thank you John Williams for all the years you have scored movies for the world.
all these musicians will be able to say i played for the legendary John Williams, and it was damn good
What is the use of a conductor? It is ONLY SOMEONE WHO MAKES HIS ARMS GO, what do the musicians do during a musical piece THEY LOOK AT THEIR PARTY, THEY NEVER LOOK AT THE CONDUCTORNEY, IT IS TRUE
The 3 best modern Orchestra compositions to be played in no particular order are as follows;
Live & Let Die
The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
Star Wars
And Thank you Kevin for posting this video, was a real treat and made my day.
The opening of this reminds me a lot of the Apothéose at the end of Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty.
When you look for Academy Awards for music, John Williams is 2nd to the House of Mouse... but it took four sets of composers for Disney to beat one man. Some of his movie themes will be forgotten (for instance, the Towering Inferno) but others will stay a long time. The Superman theme (1978), the Star Wars themes (1977), Jaws, Hook, the Indiana Jones series, E.T., Jurassic Park, ... the hits just keep coming. JW, you da man!
John Williams has gone from film score composer to American Icon and Hero!! So gifted and even being over 90 years of age, still working and doing what he loves and does best - Thank You Mr. John Williams for what you have given the world.
This is my favorite song EVER from Star Wars!!!!!
¡Absolutamente maravilloso!
He's an international Treasure!
Bravo bravisimo!
