Many people stated in my previous videos that my wireless dongle was too poor to stream 1080p material. So i dug out a proper dongle with a huge aerial. Here I test some 1080p material on LAN Cable Tiny Compact Dongle Dongle with Large Aerial guess this video is aimed at people thinking they can stream full bit rate 1080p. 720 or 720...upscaled material to 1080p...ie low bit rate like TV shows works OK. ►Follow Me/Requests On Twitter: 🤍

By Gwang Yoon Hwang. Slides at 🤍 Slides at 🤍 Although we have an OpenMAX support in the RPi2, it is not an easy work to optimize the performance of video rendering if it involves complicated use cases or interfaces. WebKitGTK+ and WebKitForWayland is one of such case due to it should parse, layout, render HTML documents, and CSS styles. Also, it should execute JavaScripts at the same time while playing HTML5 video. In this talk, we will cover what we did to implement and optimize the rendering and compositing pipeline of WebKitGTK+, WebKitForWayland, and GStreamerGL using OpenMAX and OpenGL in RPi2 device.
